I love “Fight Club”. I’m a huge fan of Chuck Palahniuk’s work; so much so that I know how to spell his name without looking it up. (He’s the guy that wrote the book “Fight Club” by the way.) He’s got some other amazing books that should have been made into movies, “Choke” being one of them. And God Damn! It only took Hollywood eight flipping years! Collider.com (a site I have never heard of before today) has some pictures from the film, which stars the awesome Sam Rockwell and debuts at Sundance this year. Damn, I should have been there! Here’s one of them (and no, it’s not a period piece):

Read the synopsis after the jump (it’s worth it)…
Victor Mancini (Rockwell), a sex-addicted med-school dropout, keeps his increasingly deranged mother, Ida (Angelica Houston), in an expensive private mental hospital by working days as a historical re-enactor. At night he runs a scam where he deliberately chokes in upscale restaurants to form parasitic relationships with the wealthy patrons who “save” him. When, in a rare lucid moment, Ida reveals that she has withheld the shocking truth of his father’s identity, Victor must enlist the aid of his best friend, Denny, a recovering chronic masturbator, and his mother’s beautiful attending physician, Dr. Paige Marshall, to solve this mystery before the truth of his possibly divine parentage is lost forever.
Oh yeah, when he’s visiting his Mom in the “Home” he screws with the old people with dementia and Alzheimer’s by telling them that he is a relative they don’t remember, but that they used to sexually abuse. How could you not want to see this movie? Sam Rockwell is one of the coolest and most talented actors out there today. If you have any doubts of his awesomeness check this out, Robin’s Big Date, and prepare your foot for your mouth.
