After dropping out of The Tourist, Avatar star Sam Worthington has signed on to be part of the upcoming sci-fi film The Last Days of American Crime.
There’s no word yet as to what role Worthington will be playing, but the movie’s plot is a near-futuristic story about the U.S. government’s plans to secretly broadcast a signal that makes it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts.
The film is based off a comic book by Rick Remender, which will be available in stores as a three-issue miniseries.
The head of Radical Publishing, the company that publishes the comic book, will also serve as producer for the screen adaptation.
