Oh Paranormal Activity, what did you set in motion? The thriller opened to only a limited number of theaters, but gave audiences the option of demanding the movie be brought to their cities. Now, Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is employing the same tactic.
When the film is released on October 30th (which, in case you’re interested to know, is not in fact All Saints Day) it will be at only 70 theaters. While this sounds like a decent amount of openings, it must be noted that, as with Paranormal Activity, midwest audiences will not be among those who get to see the film.
Actually, most audiences won’t have Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day at a theater near them. In total, the new film following everyone’s favorite vigilante brothers will be released in only seven states. All of which are on the coasts.
However, the west coast doesn’t fare much better than its non-coastal counterparts, as California is the only western state that will see the film’s opening.
Luckily, a site has been created to allow non-coastal residents to demand Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day be opened in their cities. Making your demand requires a brief registration, but it could be worth it to get the film’s exposure to spread out a bit.
