New Regency and 20th Century Fox will team to turn classic TV show Father Knows Best into a feature film. A rights deal has been completed and Chad and Dara Creasey will pen the script. The film will center around a modern day dad who uses parenting techniques that his traditional father disapproves of, he then comes to live with the family and this is what it seems like where a lot of the laughs are going to come from. Hollywood has wanted to make this for a long time. Foster, Fox, & Regency have spent the last eight months pulling a rights deal with the estates of former producers and the star of the TV show.
