Comic-Con: Day 1

Finally the huge hustle that is Comic-Con has finally started up, going full force with hundreds upon hundreds buzzing around the convention center at merely 8 in the morning. If you had gone by and were a regular bystander, you would’ve thought that the Con was already opened up for the day. Slightly more people in costumes, but that will be nothing compared to how it will be with the elaborate costumes that come out on the Masquerade on Saturday.

From Twilight Saga: New Moon to Astro Boy. From Johnny Depp’s surprise appearance at the Disney/Pixar 3D panel to the utter madness IMG_0510of…more New Moon. People taking forever to walk because either they have nowhere else to be or because they just feel like it and inevitably slow down the entire line that is going past the Warner Bros booth. Squealing with delight as James Cameron comes up to introduce 25 minutes worth of Avatar only to be dumbstruck by its pure magnificence, then releasing your inner fanboy/girl as Sigourney Weaver (or Ripley in my head) gracefully comes on stage alongside him. From some Kick-Ass clips to some more vivid takes on the imagination with the help of Terry Gilliam, the first day has been chock full of greatness.

Now, still trying to do many things at once and constantly looking at the clock like a madwoman, Philip and I embark back to the convention center. Still tired, caffeine is a life saver, but excited as all hell, we make our way back for more panel coverage, interviews and pictures that slowly are making their way up.
