What was supposed to be the original date for the 61rst Annual Primetime Emmys, September 20th, did the date slot tango and moved ahead to September 13th. Prior to this sudden date change, the Emmys were scheduled on that particular date but still wary towards the time of the NFL games that would take place on the same Sunday of the broadcast. Instead of having the broadcast possibly delayed due to the time the last NFL game of the day on CBS ends, they decided to push it forward to a less cramped day.
Due to this sudden date change, not only will the Primetime Emmys be effected with hurrying up a tad but also the Creative Emmys. The Creative Emmys, for those of you who don’t know, are centered on the more technical awards. Meaning by technical awards is around the basis of sound editors, costume designers, basically all of the people behind the scenes making a show work. Now with the sudden bump, the Creative Emmys will also be pushed forward to September 5th, Labor Day weekend.
