The internet blew up around April Fools Day as the entire X-Men Origins: Wolverine leaked online for the masses to see. Already reviews began to flow in on the Hugh Jackman flick as Twentieth Century Fox ran around, figuring out who caused the online frenzy. Today it was revealed by the studio that Robert Friedman, an entertainment blogger from Fox News who was discovered to have been the perpetrator, had basically been fired from his job. Is anyone really surprised on that one?
Of course the major motion picture studio is ticked off, the leak online of the May film could have lost them millions in revenue. With many internet fanboys flooding towards the footage before it began to fade away, the overall reaction to the film has not fared too well. Fox stated at the end of last week, when the footage first surfaced, that the copy floating around the net is a rough cut, with unfinished music and special effects. Still, that has not stopped everyone from trying to still continue to look for the pirated film. The latest, and technically fourth installation of the X-Men franchise trails around the back story of Wolverine, going from when he first discovers his mutant powers, hunts down Victor Creed (Sabertooth) out of vengeance due to the murder of his girlfriend, to becoming the ultimate experiment of the Weapon X program. The film is still set to release on May 1st, with the latest trailer for the Marvel adaptation down below.

Figures. And how very ironic. Take a look at what Friedman said about Michael Jackson in 2003 – “Michael Jackson is over. His career is over. And if he's not careful, he will wind up logging some jail time before his life is over.” Hush now, Mr. Friedman.
