Can I be a script consultant, at least?
Fox Studios has taken on Rehab, a comedy flick by Sam Laybourne. Laybourne is currently working on the new ABC series Cougar Town, with Arrested Development and Angels in America also to his credit.
The movie’s plot revolves around a man who fakes being treated at a rehab center in order to reconnect with an old high school girlfriend who became a rock star and is now in rehab herself.
Peter Chernin and Will Gluck, who helped develop the script, are set to produce the film, with Gluck likely directing as well.
Gluck and Laybourne have worked together before on the show The Loop, while Chernin has been transitioning from Hollywood exec to producer.
