Fry Sounds Funny…Futurama Re-Casting?

There might not be any cheering come a week from now for Futurama

People who are going to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con already were raising their eyebrows about the 1 o clock panel on Saturday about the fate of the popular science fiction comedy series Futurama. With actual executives from Fox within the panel decide the fate of the practically ten year old show, those who are fans of the show were already biting their nails. Now, it seems like the fate of Futurama going down the cancellation drain along with many other Fox shows.

Now what is that? Futurama might be getting a voice tweak? That’s right, Fox is already looking at auditioning other voice actors in filling up the roles of the main characters from the Groening & Cohen show we’ve all watched at one point in time.

“We love the ‘Futurama’ voice performers and absolutely wanted to use them, but unfortunately, we could not meet their salary demands,” the studio said in a statement Friday. “While replacing these talented actors will be difficult, the show must go on. We are confident that we will find terrific new performers to give voice to (creators) Matt (Groening) and David (Cohen)’s brilliantly subversive characters.”

Does that mean that Fox will still go on and let Comedy Central do even more episodes in time for 2010? Do you think they’ll actually sack it come time for the ‘vote’ during next week’s 40th annual San Diego Comic-Con? Voice your opinions here, we want to know.
