didnt think eastwoods acting was bad…or idk maybe it was because pf the supporting cast (espeially the two teens) that i didnt come off as disastrous..but i dont know. the two newcomers really should have done a few more years of high school plays and they maybe wouldve been ok in a low budget B movie…but a multimillion dollar Hollywood pictuer starring the legendary Clint Eastwood? either the casting directors were blind and deaf to their unrealistic and distracting acting or ive gone mad and i cant recognize a bad performance from a decent one…

I so whole-heartedly agree with you Aaron. Good story-line, bad acting. I could not believe Mr. Eastwood did this movie. His acting was bad enough but then when you compiled the other actor’s lack of talents it was awful. I liked so many of his movies, even the latest ones but geesh, give me a break with this one.

Aaron-there is a movie worse than this one though. Check out The Beguiled from 1971 with Clint Eastwood.

I’m going to make some eastwood fans upset here but….This has to be the worst movie he has ever been involved in.
I love Eastwood in the classics, I even thought “Bridges of Madison County” was a great movie.
Clints acting in itself was Ok, but a little to Dirty Harry meets Archie Bunker on steroids, and where did he pick his supporting cast? very bad acting all around. bad delivery, bad timing, bad emotions.
The storyline was good and had alot of potential, but the acting erased all hope of this movie being an Eastwood clasic.
My wife and I kept trying to turn it off, but it was like a car wreck, you could not turn away, I actually felt embarrased for Mr Eastwood.

Can’t just come in a room and say NO. It just doesn’t make sense.

Clint Eastwood used his outward crankiness to come across as tough and yet also heroic at the same time, well done i’d say
