Hitchcock and Kubrick movie posters reimagined

I love posters. British designer and illustrator Matt Needle has created some pretty interesting posters of his favorite Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick films. You can buy all of these prints through his website and currently he is giving 50% of all proceeds from his Hitchcock series to the Haiti Aid Relief! What a great way for movie fans to support an awesome artist and give to help Haiti recover from that tragic earthquake.

Needle’s Hitchcock posters are beautifully subtle with only the film title, Hitchcock’s famous silhouette and a single graphic to represent the film. The vibrant colors unique to each poster make these a series that begs to be displayed together.

Also available for purchase are Needle’s interpretation of two classic Stanley Kubrick films The Shining and A Clockwork Orange. Both posters truly capture the insanity in each film and sadly, I can’t help but think of CBS when I look into Needle’s A Clockwork Orange eye. Oh well — I still love all of these posters and hope to hang each one in my apartment!

Just might order one for “The Shining”…but I'd love to see one for “Full Metal Jacket”. Im A US Marine so that movie was bred for me.

Simplistic, too simplistic actually as well as sterile. Posters are suppose to grab your attention to see the picture. No one knows how to make attractive advertisments in any medium anymore.

One correction: North by Northwest wasn't released by Universal. It was MGM.
