Is “In Memorium” a “Paranormal Activity”-Esque Success In Waiting?

Director Amanda Gusack gave us the horror film The Betrayed last year, which starred Melissa George (The Amityville Horror) and Oded Fehr (The Mummy, Resident Evil: Apocalypse) in a tale of psychological deception.

Before that film, though, she made a microbudget film called In Memorium that folks are now likening to Oren Peli’s spontaneous success Paranormal Activity. The film premiered at the Hamptons Film Festival in 2005, but has still not seen a release.

Now, with the success of Paranormal Activity, the film is starting to see the light of day through some clips that display a film very similar to Paranormal Activity’s style. Check them out below, and hopefully we’ll have a review of the film up soon enough, so if you have a craving for more Paranormal Activity-esque scares, you might just have an outlet for them!

  1. Wow. Color me interested. Looked super cheesy and cheap at first but actually looks like it could work. I love that he's screwing a piece of coaxial cable into the camera that's just cut off.

This is definitely one of those movies where you have to go in with the right expectations, or you'll be setting yourself up for disappointment. And haha — I noticed the coaxial cable thing too.
