Jolie's ready to put on a labcoat
The Changeling star Angelina Jolie is ready to hop into a doctor’s outfit as she sets herself to play Dr. Kay Scarpetta. Taken from the bestseller book series on the fictitious coroner, Jolie could be in it for the long haul with author Patricia Cornwell. Fox 2000 will helm the film as negotiations continue on for director and what not. The adaptation could possibly lead into a big time franchise, having Jolie who is one of Hollywood’s most desired stars attached to a novel based series that has spanned on in the literary world for 16 novels.
Currently along with Cornwell’s recent success with adaptations, two specific novels of hers are already set for the adaptation treatment, them being “At Risk” and “The Front”. Mark Gordon (12 Rounds) will be producing along with Geyer Kosinski (Changeling). No word on a release date or if Cornwell will be writing the script herself, but keep your eyes peeled here on Atomic Popcorn for the latest happenings on this suspense thriller.
