People new to the show are enjoying an exciting sci-fi action film. The old fans are more divided--some are willing to try something new, while some despise any changes from the original. I'm a fan, and I enjoyed it. But I think it suffers from being an introduction. There wasn't time for complicated philosophy and thoughtful discovery. This time, we just had to meet everybody. But I got the impression that the ideals of the original were respected, and if we give this team time, they will grow into something amazing.
