Really, the only memories I have of “Land of the Lost” is that annoying 90′s theme song that kept repeating “LIVING IN THE LAND OF THE LOST”. All things considered, I’m slightly interested in the movie coming out this summer if only because it appears to capture the giddiness of the original 70′s series. The release is drawing near which means promotion is getting kicked into high gear. Universal has released two games on the official website to promote the film.
The first is called “Chakker” where you take control of Chaka (the fuzzy wuzzy looking thing) and try to rescue Dr. Rick Marshall and his friends across the terrain of the film whilst avoiding dinosaurs and other creatures.
The second is will involve you owning and iPhone is called Crystal Adventure and is described like so:
Rick Marshall (Will Ferrell) has been dropped in the Land of the Lost and is trapped in the Sleestak temple. Help him make his way through the levels of the temple by overcoming the pits and traps he’ll encounter. Each level presents its own challenging mix of obstacles to overcome in an effort to reach the large crystal. Push blocks, build bridges, and navigate around obstacles in order to reach the end of the level – all while avoiding the Sleestaks.
There’s a leaderboard, movie photos, and best of all it’s free to download.
Each can be downloaded and/or played on the Land of the Lost website. It opens June 5th in theaters everywhere.
