Meagan Dives Into The Comics
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star Meagan Fox has been busy filling up her schedule prior to starting the marketing trail for the much anticipated summer sequel. Attaching herself to two upcoming comic book adaptations, much to the delight of fanboys everywhere.
The first of the two films is ‘Hex’, another product of DC Comics, directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears A Who) and starring Josh Brolin (Milk). The story is set in the Wild West of the 1800s, centering around ‘A scarred bounty hunter tractking a vodoo practitioner who wants to raise an army of undead to liberate the South’ (The Hollywood Reporter).
Fox will be playing Leila, gun toting love interest of Jonah Hex. The movie is set for an August 6, 2010 release date to theatres nationwide.
The second comic book adaptation set on her list is Fathom, from Aspen MLT Inc comics. The story revolves around a young woman called Aspen Matthews, a marine biologist who discovers that she’s part of an ancient race of aquatic creatures with hydrokinetic abilities. Previously this film was set into development in 2002, with James Cameron set to direct, but never picked up any steam. The movie is currently still in the development stages and has no set release date.
