More X-Men in 2010?

xmenfirstclassReported from SuperHeroHype, actor Tim Pocock blurts out the big news on none other than his Twitter account. He says, “Currently shooting Australian TV series till February 2010…then X-men first class.” From what can be gathered, Twentieth Century Fox is wasting no time with getting even more X-Men related films off of the ground. This ‘announcement’ comes out literally a couple of days after X-Men Origins: Wolverine claws onto DVD and Blu-Ray, which could be taking advantage of the still fairly popular franchise.

X-Men: First Class is based off of a 2006 Marvel comic of the same name, putting together the original team from the first issues of X-Men but in a more recent setting. The script is penned by Josh Schwartz, who’s previous work includes Chuck and Gossip Girl. The release date for this Marvel film is to be set for sometime in 2010.
