Mulan Is Alive…And Then Some

Buried amongst the many amounts of news is of a currently in production film that not many people know about, and that is a live action film on Jingle Ma’s Mulan. Based off of a Chinese poem and folklore, Hua Mulan was a woman who went in disguise as a man in order to join the all male Chinese army.

In the midst of production for this more recent take on the possibly fictional warrior woman, reports have spew in about halting production due to lack of payment from a small amount of villages where the film has shot at. Being forced to shut down for a couple of days, they had to pay back the debts of the province in order to continue on.

There is no reports of a possible release date for the live action adaptation, but what I do have is quite a few pictures below on the set of the upcoming film.
