The ending was completely wrong. Where did Montanna even come up in the book? They rewrote the entire book in two hours. Completely not acceptable in my books. But since you enjoy going to see movies loosely based on books, go and rent Twilight, I assure you, watching the movie is much, much better than slumming through Stefani Myers aweful aweful writing. Even if it is loosely based off of the book. As a person who has been up close with cancer in families, i believe that this movie captures the true emotions of a family that is trying to deal with the trauma that cancer gives off. I loved this movie and give it 10 stars out of 5. It was amazing, in the first five minutes i started crying and i never had a dry eye after that. Lswrence, this movie was phenomenal! The book took place in RI but the movie was LA. The ending was totally backwards. Jesse had a jeep and started fires alot. There was a totally different character they left out, Julie, Campbells gf. Comeon this movie pissed me off what they did to it. My fiance forced me to read the book and I loved it and then I couldnt wait to see it in action but it was minutely what I read. They even got the ages of the characters wrong. I give it two thumbs down and no stars. Alec Baldwin doesnt even try to act anymore.
