Natasha Richardson (1963-2009)
Natasha Richardson passed away today in New York City due to a severe head injury caused by a skiing accident. A fairly popular actor on the big screen and on stage, she starred in the broadway revival of Cabaret in which she won a Tony award. Coming from a fairly big acting family, she eased her way onto the stage at an early age. Aside from being on stage, she was active on the big screen with films such as Evening and The Parent Trap (1998).
Richardson came back from a skiing trip and complained about a headache, which was quickly discovered to be brain swelling as she was rushed over to the hospital in New York City with family by her side. She was on life support and was taken off earlier this Wednesday with the permission of her close family. She is survived by her husband Liam Neeson (Taken) and her two sons.
