Whether you were jazzed about the first trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar or even if it left you cold, you have to admit that the release of the film this December is the largest thing looming on the horizon for 2009.
The great news is that this new trailer hooked me quite a bit more than the first one did, simply by focusing on the humanity of the characters. The rhythm of this trailer is honestly quite better than the first go around, but the imagery is still not the photo-realistic stuff that Cameron’s been promising. Regardless, here’s the new trailer in all its glory. Note: there’s some bothersome subtitles here. The U.S. version will go up on Apple tonight.
Also, we have a pretty nifty featurette on the making of the film. Check that out too, and let us know in the comments if this new trailer has psyched you up enough to line up for the film on December 18.

This looks fabulous, I am glad they showed us a bit more about the story now.

That was awesome. I saw the 16 minute sneak peek back in August, and felt then that there was alot more going on than the initial trailers let on. After that, I figured that Cameron was going for something a litte more mainstream as opposed to an in-depth hard sci-fi pic. And really, that's fine. The story seems pretty routine, but everything else looks like it's going to deliver. This should help get most everyone else excited too.
