Nightmare Time: New Alice Pictures

From the super awesome people at JoBlo and USA Today, we finally get a clearer shot of what to expect from Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland. No, we don’t have any pictures of the fair maiden yet, but what we do have are up close and personal shots of Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. While Hathaway looks angelic and lets face it, hard to see, the others look down right creepy. Regardless of that, the overall layout (as seen below) of this version of Wonderland will be pretty interesting to see, especially in 3D.

This take on the beloved tale (from Walt Disney Pictures strangely enough)takes place ten years after Alice’s first adventure down the rabbit hole. Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn’t remember (USA Today). Hopping into theaters March 5, 2010, this reporter here can’t want to get more Burton and what comes out of his vivid imagination.
