Producer Samuel Hadida and writer Roger Avary are both teaming back up to put together a sequel to the 2006 film “Silent Hill”. The upcoming project, based off of a popular horror video game, will be one of two adaptations that Davis Films starts up. The first of them will be “Resident Evil: Afterlife”, Paul W.S. Anderson’s latest stamp on the ongoing series. Avary is currently penning another video game adaptation, “Return To Castle Wolfenstein”, based off of the popular Wolfenstein 3D game.
This film is based off of a popular Konami game which follows a person who wanders into the mysterious and haunted town that not only faces them with terrors within it but ones deep in their own mind. Despite the some what lackluster performance here in the states, Hadida is making another leap at it with a possible 2010 release date. No word yet on what particular Silent Hill game it could be based off of or who will be casted.
