Revealed: How Angelina Jolie’s Fox survives ‘Wanted’

For those wondering how Angelina Jolie’s action-tastic character, Fox, manages to survive the events of Wanted to return in Wanted 2, we may have some answers.

According to Sci Fi Wire, Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov chatted about the scenario at the 9 panel at Comic-Con. When asked by a fan if Wanted 2 will begin production soon, the acclaimed Russian director said, “Yes, I think it’s coming. We’re working hard to be ready to shoot in a few months.”

Great news for fans of the ultra-violence…but what about Jolie’s character? “James McAvoy [who, played assassin Wesley Gibson] will be in the movie, and he will try to wake up our Fox,” Bekmambetov answered.

Wake her up from a bullet to the head? “She’s in a bath with wax,” he said, referencing the healing baths used in the first film.

Jolie plus more hot baths is never a bad idea.

Wanted 2 is looking at a release in late 2011.

    1. Thanks for the heads up, interesting story. You might want to think about renaming the title though, just in case some people haven’t seen the first film as yet.

It’s strange because a little while the talk was that she would return to the film through flashbacks to the origins of the group, not actually coming back to life. I guess that just didn’t work out.

I thought about that. Then I figured it’s been a good while since ‘Wanted’ first hit theaters and Fox’s death seemed to be common knowledge.

With that said, if anybody hasn’t seen ‘Wanted’ yet, I’m sorry for ruining it.

While we are at it though, Rosebud was the sled.
