Rourke's awesomeness spreads to Marvel

Recent reports of The Wrestler star Mickey Rourke said he was given a cut for his role as the main villain in Iron Man 2 for $250,000. Looking at it as measly, especially after being nominated for an Oscar and being the talk of the town, he declined the offer.

Now he’s back on board, apparently with a bigger salary that nobody seems to disclose to the public (figures). Rourke will be playing the main villain, Whiplash, with a little mix of the Crimson Dynamo. There are no confirmed reports yet on which character he will be playing, but once that is found out, you all will be the first to know.

Also rumored to be part of this ever growing cast is Scarlett Johansson as the supposed frontrunner to play the sleek Black Widow. Samuel L. Jackson is still signed on to play Nick Fury for the sequel, and obviously Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow will come back to reprise their roles of Tony Stark and Pepper Pots. Filming is set to start in April with a release date of May 7th, 2010.
