Secret Wolverine Endings?

3 endings for 3 claws?

Tim Rothman and the rest of the people down at Twentieth Century Fox are all in a panic with the fate of their latest creation, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Gavin Hood, the director of the latest flick to enter into the X-Men franchise, has announced that they have shot multiple endings that will appear at the end of the Wolverine film after the credits. Sure, it is typical for a recent Marvel movie to have a piece after the credits, but each theater will be showing a supposed three different ones (and one is included with Deadpool played by Ryan Reynolds).

Hood continued on in defense of his work, stating that the leaked footage was not the right footage, that there were a lot of effects left out among other things. Regardless of what they say, Fox’s actions concerning the Hugh Jackman starred movie as of late shows that they have no idea how the fate of their tentpole summer blockbuster will turn out to be, regardless of the still positive response of people who are highly anticipating the movie.

What do you think about the secret endings? Do you believe it’s just a marketing ploy to wrangle the general public into the theaters, or was it done way before the early April incident in following with the most recent trend of having special footage attached to a film after the credits? Either way, the numbers will show for themselves as the summer movie season kicks off on May 1rst.

I”m a cynical critic so I’m going to put myself down for the studio coming up with this idea AFTER the leaked print. It’s a great idea from a marketing standpoint … not that it makes me care any more for this project since I’ve pretty much lost faith that a really good, faithful adaptation of the X-franchises will happen until new hands are in charge of the license.

It’s a real shame Wolverine got leaked… It’ll still top the box office on release, but the sequel with Wolverine in Japan will only get made if this is a major success… One thing is certain: changes to the ending were already underway before the leak, to set-up a possible Deadpool spin-off…

I wouldn’t be surprised that it makes enough bank to do more deadpool. I kind of doubt that they’ll do another wolverine stand alone movie (since they already got magneto as the next one and still want to do an x-men 4) but who knows

Well, it aint no Iron Man, that is for sure . I had higher hopes due trailers and separate character videos that have been on the net as of late. Seems like each major player had there moment in the spotlight, and those were all handled great, Agent Zero’s entrance into the compound was great, Wade’s exit from the elevator was just as great, Gambit’s first scene meeting with Wolverine was pretty damn cool also, but something just did not gel. Some of the effects were lackluster, the fight atop the 3 mile island tower between Sabretooth / Wolverine and Deadpool was the worst, and Wolverines blades looked cartoonish through out the movie.
What I have not read yet is how cool Zero,s gunplay acrobatics were and how Deadpool,s eyes took on the dark markings paying homage to the classic mask we all had hoped to see.
The Ma and Pa Kent scenes really did not move the movie forward and seemed more of a distraction.
Wraith and Bolt were too short lived, Blob could have been utilized more or deleted entirely. SilverFox apparent death was a mistake, imagine if Logan wanted to stick around and see her cremated or buried. This plot device only works with the belief that Stryker knew
Logan would skip all post death formalities and be on the hunt.
Emma Frost , as well As Fox, are babes, but her appearance , as does Cyclops, seems only to provide a launch pad for X-men First Class, as does the Prof .X cameo.
I look forward to the DVD release and in my opinion it , X-men Origins, is just a notch above The Last Stand in story. I hope for a Deadpool spinoff, and a Wolvering sequel, and I would welcome seeing the Agent Zero character again, as well as Gambit spinoff, but I hope the stories are there, the direction is there. Iron Man raised the bar pretty damn high for most Marvel comic movies to be measured against. This is maybe on par with the last Hulk.
