Singer is a Giant Killer

Bryan-Singer-eyeing-Excalibur-remakeBryan Singer is ready to take on giants in his own film version of Jack the Giant Killer. The Superman Returns director hops on board underneath New Line Cinemas and Legendary Pictures. The script is being penned by Darren Lemke (Shrek Forever) and Mark Bomback (Race to Witch Mountain). Ori Marmur, Michele Weiss and Michael Disco producing.

The story kicks off when a princess is kidnapped, threatening a long-standing peace between men and giants. A young farmer is given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giants’ kingdom in hopes of rescuing her (THR). At the moment Bryan Singer is in the middle of development with Killer but also the remake of the fantasy drama Excalibur. Singer also has his teeth sunk right into the feature film version of the popular series Battlestar Galactica.
