Ready to hop hop hop into his latest directing gig, Steven Spielberg is going to tackle a six foot rabbit. Not real, imaginary of course in Harvey, the latest movie to be tackled by the internationally famed director. Centering on a story of a man’s friendship with an imaginary six foot tall rabbit, this adaptation of sorts has already been translated onto the big screen once with the wonderfully talented Jimmy Stewart in the lead role.
Since Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg are practically attached to the hip, it seems inevitable that Hanks will be attached onto the feature in one way, shape or form (maybe even as the lead). Regardless, Dreamworks, Twentieth Century Fox and Spielberg are working together on getting this film chugging right along into pre-production, already wanting to jump into filming at the start of 2010. Dreamworks and Twentieth Century Fox are combining together to produce this film, which sounds like a cool merger in itself after what went on between Dreamworks and Spielberg.
