Just like we have previously reported in our beats of coverage on the upcoming 2009 MTV Movie Awards, the three stars of the upcoming film Twilight Saga: New Moon presented the first trailer of the upcoming film courtesy of Summit Entertainment.

After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella’s blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward’s sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.

For those of you who completely absolutely with your heart and loins adore the Twilight series, your in for a treat. Word from the people at MTV spat out that Kristen Stewart, Taylor Launter and Robert Pattinson will all step on stage at this year’s 2009 MTV Movie Awards and introduce the first trailer of the highly anticipated sequel, New Moon.

Along with that announcement is the ever growing list of people set to show up at the awards show. The likes of Sandra Bullock, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Sienna Miller, Channing Tatum, Bradley Cooper, Abigail Breslin, Thomas Lennon, Danny McBride and Sofia Vassilieva are all confirmed to appear, and the list will continually grow at time draws closer. Previous presenters such as Cameron Diaz, Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, Denzel Washington, Vanessa Hudgens, Leighton Messter & Lil Wayne. Performers jumping onto the stage will be the likes of Eminem and Kings of Leon.

The MTV Movie Awards will air live on May 31rst at 9 PM/8 PM CT with host Andy Samberg. Do not forget, there will also be a live voting poll on MTV’s facebook and myspace pages where you can already actively participate in figuring out who should walk away with the golden popcorn.

For those of you who do chime into MTV very occasionally, especially those out there into movies, this particular awards show is one we all tend to sneak a peek at. The 2009 MTV’s Movie Awards is in full drive, for the first time ever giving fans a chance to chime in and vote as to what movie should be nominated for this year’s show. Leading the pack is the ever popular Summit Entertainment vampire drama Twilight along with surprise Oscar winner for Best Picture, Slumdog Millionaire. 

Along with the new form of the audience being able to select who is nominated this year, the broadcast will feature live voting, meaning that everyone at home will be able to vote in ala American Idol to figure out who is worthy of the golden popcorn. Fans will be able to vote per film throughout the broadcast, but the one that will hold the most difficulty in pinpointing who will win is the slot for Best Movie. Basically, everyone will be going crazy with MTV on facebook or on myspace. Not only will you be able to vote until your index finger breaks, but you’ll be able to check out all sorts of other goodies as well.

Saturday Night Live comedian and actor Andy Samberg will be hosting the star studded event, introducing as well brand new categories such as Best What The F*** Moment and Best Song. The upcoming event will be broadcasted live (obviously) at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, May 31rst at 9PM/8PM CT. Want to take a look at the nominees?
