Yeah, he can

Scrubs star and comedic actor Zach Braff is sitting back in the director’s chair and then some for the upcoming comedy Swingles. Not only will the multi-talented actor be directing but he will re-write the script and co-star. Cameron Diaz will be filling the slot of his female lead, already signed up before he jumped on board. Paramount Pictures chugs along backing this film with Kevin Misher, the lucky guy who was on Public Enemies, as producer.

The story in itself is derived from a Duncan Birmingham spec; when their two best friends fall in love, a man and a woman find themselves without their respective wingman and wing-woman. This will be the most recent directing gig for Braff, his last one being part of the independent drama alongside Natalie Portman in Garden State.
