Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry is in negotiations to star in Paul Verhoeven’s upcoming thriller, The Surrogate. Based on the 2004 book by Kathryn Mackel, the story centers on a couple desperate to have a child, and they find themselves in an unbearable position when they find out the surrogate they hired to carry their baby is insane.

This is not to be confused with Bruce Willis’ September 25th sci-fi feature, Surrogates.

Though the all important “official deal” has yet arrive, 20th Century Fox is reportedly enthusiastic on having the Catwoman star as part of the project.

Berry was last seen in 2007′s underrated Things We Lost in the Fire.

Frankie and Alice is the latest film starring one of my favorites, Halle Berry. Berry plays a woman with multiple personality disorder. The movie follows her back and forth between two very different personalities, one struggling with severe racism and her real down-to-earth self.

It seems like a cool concept but this may be too much drama for me, to be honest.

There is no opening date yet for this movie as it just hit post production. Halle is looking mighty fine in her odd outfit if you ask me! What do you think?
