Earlier this week, Jonah showed up on the scene, albeit a bit late to the party, in a sneak peak courtesy of  SyFy. Then an ugly mug shot of Jonah showed up online. Now we have the full on trailer, and I must say, I am very pleasantly surprised!

A little synopsis of the movie for you all left behind under a rock:

Jonah Hex (Brolin) is a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort, a tough and stoic gunslinger who can track down anyone… and anything. Having survived death, Jonah’s violent history is steeped in myth and legend, and has left him with one foot in the natural world and one on the “other side.” His only human connection is with Leila (Megan Fox), whose life in a brothel has left her with scars of her own.

But Jonah’s past is about to catch up with him when the U.S. military makes him an offer he can’t refuse: in exchange for his freedom from the warrants on his head, he must track down and stop the dangerous terrorist Quentin Turnbull (Malkovich). But Turnbull, who is gathering an army and preparing to unleash Hell, is also Jonah’s oldest enemy and will stop at nothing until Jonah is dead.

Jonah Hex stars Josh Brolin, John Malkovich, Megan Fox, Will Arnett and Michael Shannon and is slated to hit theaters June 18.

And then the marine layer parted to reveal the sky above the San Diego Convention Center and there emerged…Friday’s schedule. That’s right, practically 24 hours later, we get one of the more coveted pieces of the schedule. The always official Star Wars day (girls, get your slave leia costumes ready) will include such awesome things such as Warner Bros. Pictures presentations on the remade Nightmare on Elm Street, Jonah Hex, Sherlock Holmes and others.

"..and so God said to me 'My son, make The Terminator'."

There are many other panels, including more television shows like AMC’s The Prisoner, 24, Caprica/Battlestar Galactica, The Big Bang Theory and more you can check out. Of course, you cannot forget all of the special panels centered on Lucas’ Star Wars universe for all of you wannabe wookies. There is always the Cup O Joe (or as I call it, the Joe Quesada show), Focus Features on 9, a panel on District 9 and many many others. Enough jabbering on, check out the Friday schedule here.

Note to the wise, and what seems to be a historic pairing, Entertainment Weekly is holding their Friday night Visionaries panel that will include James Cameron and Peter Jackson. I’ll be attending it, and if your going to the Con I would recommend it too!

I’m pretty sure Megan Fox could turn any gay male straight after five minutes. She may have a “bad boy” attitude, has something of a relationship with Brian Austin Green (asshole) and has next to no acting skills whatsoever. However, she is possibly the most gorgeous thing about Hollywood at the moment and was the only reason to even glance at Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (so was Ashley Leggat.) So sue me, I think she’s bleeping gorgeous and have ever since “Hope & Faith” poisoned our televisions.

Released today around the interwebs are photos of Ms. Hotcakes in a corset on the set of the new film Jonah Hex. My other head tells me the ticket is already bought to this thing but the film buff/wanna-be critic inside me is going to wait til more comes out about the project.

Fox fills up her schedule with even more roles

Transformers star Meagan Fox has been seeing her share of roles as of late. Not only finishing up her filming with Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen and the Diablo Cody written Jennifer’s Body, but even more reports are flooding in of future gigs she has in store.

The first couple we reported on here were that of her upcoming comic book roles (Jonah Hex and Fathom). Earlier this month she attached herself playing opposite Mickey Rourke in the Mitch Glazer written and directed film, Passion Plays. Fox will be playing an angel under the thumb of a ruthless gangster who ends up being saved by a trumpet player down on his luck. The indie film is set for a 2010 release date.

Next up on her slate is that of the Screen Gems drama/thriller entitled The Crossing. In this one, Fox will be playing the wife of a man who gets kidnapped once the two try to return from the border after a vacation in Mexico. In order to get him back, she must smuggle heroin from the border. No word on a permanent director for the film just yet, but initial filming could already take place mid-summer of this year. With the list of films already set for Meagan Fox, the starlet definitely is taking full advantage of her new Hollywood status and taking her career to bigger heights.
