Kathryn Stocket’s bestselling novel The Help will be hitting theaters August 12, and I’ve been anxiously awaiting this movie ever since I heard about it.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes clip with Mary J. Blige talking about how she wrote one of the songs for the movie. She also talks about her personal connection to the movie and how she reacted to an advance look at the film. It’s a beautiful song and a wonderful look at the movie process.

Now all I’ve gotta do is read the book before August.  No, I haven’t read it yet; thank you so much, Song Of Ice And Fire, for owning my soul for the past 3 months….
