Quantum of Solace has had the biggest opening of any Bond film at the box office, but the massive popularity has come with a price, namely a lot of eagle-eyed fans submitting over 20 flaws to website moviemistakes.com, already making it the 5th most mistake-ridden movie of 2008 despite having been on release for only a short time.

The errors range from continuity mistakes like clothes changing appearance, to factual errors such as confusing an Embassy and a Consulate. The site’s managed by UK movie buff Jon Sandys, who says the mistakes didn’t affect his enjoyment of the movie: “Most movie-goers, myself included, probably wouldn’t notice these the first time around due to being caught up in the action. But on a second viewing, or if it’s a factual error related to something you know a lot about, they can be surprisingly obvious.”

A few examples are below:

In the rooftop chase between Bond and Mitchell, it is obvious that both characters are wearing black running shoes, whereas before the chase started both were wearing smart black suit shoes.

In the DC3 sequence, Bond lowers the undercarriage in one shot, but in the next shot the undercarriage is up again.

During the film, Bond flies to the airport in Bregenz, Austria. There is no airport in Bregenz.

When Bond is talking to Mathis at a table at the cottage in Italy, Mathis’ watch faces the side of his wrist, to be easily seen on camera. Then in the next shot it suddenly faces the outside of his wrist like watches are usually worn.

The first clip from the Quantum of Solace has been released via MSN, showing James Bond (Daniel Craig) with Rene Mathis (Giancarlo Giannini). A very boring look at an action packed film, but non the less a clip of the newest Bond.

Quantum of Solace continues the high octane adventures of James Bond in Casino Royale. Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M interrogate Mr White who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.

Is it me or is this song absolutely horrible? Jack and Alecia sound like cats clawing at each other. I believe I heard a few words in between the shouting match. The beat itself I like but the vocals I could do without. Check out the song below for the upcoming Bond film, Quantum of Solace.

Quantum of Solace is due out in the UK, then India (wtf???) then the states in November.

Wanna hear Alicia Keys and Jack White sing the new title track to Quantum of Solace? Go to iTunes and download the title track, “Another Way to Die.”  This is the first time a duet has been performed for a Bond movie.

I’ve listened to the song about 12 times now and it’s good. It has a great mix of rock with brass. To hear Jack White play the guitar along with a crisp brass section and sing with Alicia Keys is something to behold. I can’t wait to hear it infront of the movie when the title sequence plays along with it. The song fits in with the retro sound that Chris Cornell helped create with 2006′s Casino Royale title track, “You Know my Name.”

Can’t wait till 11/14/08 to see Quantum of Solace and Daniel Craig back in the role of James Bond, 007.

What more do I have to say besides this movie will kick some major ass! I will be front and center for this without question.

I became a true fan once Daniel Craig joined the lineup of Bonds. He really is a solid choice for who I believe Bond to be. A true action star in his own right.

This I believe is the 22nd movie in the Bond franchise. And what a 22nd movie it will be! Check back for more coverage of this newest Bond film.

The folks over at a German forum have a ton of “Quantum of Solace” photos. It only fits to have them here also. With the news of a move to Nov 14th, being pushed one week from the original 7th, it seems it shouldn’t make much difference. This movie looks to rock once again!

In this new slot the James Bond flick will now open the same weekend as Baz Luhrmann’s epic “Australia”. Looks like despite the Harry Potter move to Summer of ’09, this Fall is still shaping up to be pretty eventful.
