In a random turn of events, the ABC show Samatha Who? starring Christina Applegate is getting the plug pulled. After being all but confirmed to come back for yet another season, ABC got rid of the comedy due to pure rating numbers. Due to ratings and budget problems with keeping the show afloat, those deciding factors lead into this scrapping. Other things like moving its time slot from one day to another brought down the amount of audience it was able to rake in.

ABC has already picked up quite a few shows for it’s lineup, even renewing some brand new ones such as the Nathan Fillion starring series, Castle that was picked up for a second season a couple of days ago. At the moment though, Christina will not be completely out of work (of course not), as she is rumored to be in the upcoming dramedy Everything Is Going To Be Just Fine. Despite that, unfortunately for all of those who contributed to the show, the ginormous amount of shows ABC has on the rack (10 to be exact) will quickly fill up Samantha Who’s time slot.
