Now, the huge mumblings and whispers of which people from the comic and the movie world are on every attendees minds. Previously we reported the announcement from Summit Entertainment that they would be showing exclusive clips from their upcoming film Twilight Saga: New Moon along with the possibility of special actor guests from the flick. This latest piece of news completely trumps over this.

Jackson AND Cameron at Comic-Con?

Peter Jackson, best known for his work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy and many others, is finally making his long awaited appearance at Comic-Con. Already finished wrapping up production on his latest upcoming movie, The Lovely Bones which is set for a December 11th release, his busy schedule is cleared up for the weekend of July 23-26th. Jackson will be making the trek into the fan-crazy Hall H to promote the already hyped up District 9.

But what is this? Jackson isn’t going to be the only one strutting his stuff at the Con. Rumor has it movie director (and practically legend) James Cameron will swoop down to promote his latest behemoth, Avatar. Twentieth Century Fox has not confirmed the director’s appearance, but geeks all around can just cross their fingers and hope that he shows.

It’ll Be A New Moon At Comic-Con

Comic-Con 2009

Movie News

San Diego Comic-Con International

summit entertainment

Twilight

twilight saga new moon
<guid

The first of the huge panels has been announced by none other than Summit Entertainment themselves, stating that the Twilight Saga: New Moon panel will be up and running for an unsaid time on Thursday, July 23rd at the Con.

Boy do I hope you got your tickets for this already Twilight freaks.

Officially less than 2 months away, get ready!

Just happening this morning, Thursday’s one-day tickets for the Con have sold out (Sunday is the only one available now), so whoever is barely catching wind of this and did not decide to buy their tickets way in advance will have to wait outside while they hear the screams echo out of Hall H. Exclusive footage of the upcoming vampire romance drama will be shown along with stars galloping there way inside. Last year, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Stephanie Meyer, Catherine Hardwicke, Taylor Launter, Edi Gathegi, Rachelle LaFevre and Cam Gigandet all made appearances at the panel. My guess is, minus Hardwicke and Cam Gigandet because neither of them participated in the sequel, most likely all of these special guests will make a return appearance.

San Diego Comic-Con International takes place on Thursday, July 23rd to Sunday, July 26th. There will be tons of exclusive footage, interviews and anything you can think of from the Con once it rolls around from myself, Philip and others. Stay tuned for all things Comic-Con, Twilight and movies here at Atomic Popcorn!
