She will reportedly be portraying Ciccerus, the mother of two hobnobbing vampire socialites, one of whom will be played by Silverstone. The story goes that the two young vamps will fall in love and be faced with the familiar choice between their human lovers and their vampire immortality. Sound like all the other undead melodramas? Don’t worry, it’s a comedy, and supernatural laughs are something Weaver knows well from her classic performances in both Ghostbusters films (and next year’s third installment as well.)

Weaver is something of a catch in Hollywood right now, coming hot off the multi-billion dollar heels of Avatar, but let’s not forget that Vamps is designed as a comeback vehicle for Silverstone, who hasn’t had a really lucrative or worthwhile role in over a decade. Then again, this is Heckerling, who originally shot Silverstone to fame in 1995′s Clueless, so if anyone can make her a star again, I guess it would be her.

What do you think of a rich vampire comedy? Can Silverstone ever be a star again? Will Weaver’s involvement be enough to carry the film? For those of you women who absolutely adored watching Carrie and friends going on their journeys through the bustling town, no need to worry since Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are all signed on to take part in the next chapter on the big screen.

Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City: The Movie) will be re-teaming with the four ladies in writing and directing the sequel. The film is set for the release date of May 28, 2010, which is quite literally two years and two days later than the original release date for the first one (May 30th, 2008). The plot for the upcoming flick has not been released yet but filming will commence this summer.

Sex and the City movie review

Movie News

carrie

chick flick

girls night

indiana jones

Iron Man

mainstream audiences

miranda

Movie Reviews

nice boobs

online movie reviews

samantha

sex and the city

sex and the city fan

sex and the city movie
<guid

The laughs, the outfits, the stories, all bigger than real life in that “Sex and the City” way.

This movie picks up right where an episode would have. What a great movie with lots of laugh out loud moments. The critics and the audience were laughing all the way through this one.

We pick up with Carrie and Big, Miranda and Steve, Charlotte and her little adopted daughter, and of coarse Smith and Samantha in L.A.

Carrie and Big take steps to plan the wedding that Carrie has wanted for a long long time. Miranda and Steve go through some pretty rough times, and Smith and Samantha realize things may not be what they are cracked up to be. Lets not forget about Charlotte and her gorgeous adopted daughter and hairy hubby Harry.

I would like to point out that the movie runs long. This should not stop you from seeing it but it may be a “girls” night out type of flick. I would hesitate to say this will make a ton of cash as it may only hit up the cult following of the show. It may not have a large reach on the mainstream audiences. I would put it up there at number 3 or 2 on the list but not knocking off Iron Man or Indiana Jones.

Guys be warned if you are a little squirmy when it comes to seeing other “man parts”, this is rated R for a reason. Yes there are some pretty nice boobs in the film, but it is a chick flick at heart and definitely hits the nail on the head!

The wife said it best… “If you watched the show you will love it, if you are a guy you may get a few laughs out of it, if you didn’t and you get dragged along by your girl you will definitely see some boobs and possibly get lucky at the end of the night for at least trying!”

I would recommend this to the friends, but probably as a rental due to the 2.5 hour running time.

<strong
