The 4-minute Star Wars: The Clone Wars clip that was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday is now online.

Opening August 15, the Lucasfilm release should be a pretty solid August release.

I would have to say I am pretty excited to see this. Theater material, maybe, but blu-ray will be awesome!

As the Clone Wars sweep through the galaxy, the heroic Jedi Knights struggle to maintain order and restore peace. More and more systems are falling prey to the forces of the dark side as the Galactic Republic slips further and further under the sway of the Separatists and their never-ending droid army. I really have a feeling this may bridge a large gap between the geeks of the Star Wars universe and the unlikely folks who may be entertained by this. I would say overall it will surpass Kung Fu Panda‘s numbers.

Warner Brothers and Lucasfilm released the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, coming to theaters on August 15 2008. The CG-animated sci-fi action-adventure will feature Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padmé Amidala, along with brand-new heroes like Anakin’s padawan learner, Ahsoka, as well as sinister villains led by Palpatine, Count Dooku and General Grievous.

With the latest introduction of the newest animation of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, I have been sent a few emails and pointed in a few directions to this upcoming animation. I must say I am impressed! The images, the leaked trailer and all of the goodies, I am sure will be impress even the most die hard Star Wars fans.
