This is no ordinary new family in town”

Synopsis- Demi Moore and David Duchovny star as a seemingly perfect couple who, along with their equally perfect teenagers – Amber Heard (Zombieland, Pineapple Express) and Ben Hollingsworth (The Beautiful Life) – move into an upscale gated community. The Joneses have better goods and game than any other family in town. The only problem is they’re not a family – they are employees of a stealth marketing organization, and they know how to make everyone else want what they’ve got.

As the film starts, you begin with a family on a move as their newly furnished residence is prepped for arrival. Definitely not your typical middle class family. Stocked with all the amenities inside their home and outside their home. Once noticing the brand new Audis in the driveway, the new neighbors stop by to greet them and fascinate on their belongings. Demi Moore, still so very strikingly beautiful, plays host as Duchovny, the ever charming husband, tosses a beer back. The setting for this film was to reflect a place of wealth, where “money” comes to sleep. An obvious mark for the Joneses mission.

At first, even you and I would believe that this family is pretty authentic, until the lights go out. Hot between the legs and looking for action, Jenn (Heard) dispels that this cast was kin in any way. All sleeping in separate rooms yet with only one task at mind. Reach Icon! A level to be reached by only the best in the company. Every member of the household had its job, sell. Sell a lifestyle. Sell a dream and do it at any cost. With a fiery CEO breathing down their neck they set out to get it done.

Slowly but surely the film begins to pick up pace. Brag-Marketing and being visible by local onlookers turns the neighborhood upside down. Things take a bit longer to heat up for the acting spouses. Kate (Demi) is the boss and as the boss she shows her professionalism while dong her job. Steve (Duchovny), a fast talking ex-pro golfer and highly successful car salesman, is on his first assignment. Incapable of cheating others out of their good money due to his loving nature, Steve stumbles at first. Reacting to the threat of being replaced and pushed out of the “good- life” he far surpasses the others. Never losing his good hearted ways he finds it in himself to settle in relationships and his new leading lady seems like a good match. Their chemistry together was magnificent in controlling a family unit as well as a couple.

The Joneses was such an original script. Written, Directed and Produced by Derrick Borte. Derrick said that the hunger for his project in Hollywood was enormous. I can see why. Good sale!

<strong
