The Scoop: Astro Boy Trailer Description

Making my way upstairs during the afternoon time while everything is getting prepared will get you a sneak peek at something you don’t expect. Summit Entertainment and Imagi Animation Studios team up to bring Astro Boy to life on the big screen in an all new cgi animated adventure. Starring the voice talents of Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell and Freddie Highmore as Astro Boy himself, the star studded cast under the watchful directing eye of David Bowers will be ready to check out come tomorrow morning at San Diego Comic-Con. Here’s some parts I can give up on what to expect from the upcoming trailer:

  • astro boy movie flyingAt the beginning of the trailer they reveal how Astro Boy is created, and how the scientist mumbles on about his range of power.
  • They show Astro Boy doing a few cool tricks, bringing a clunked out robot back to life and participating in some battle royale robot style with the thing.
  • The female lead Cora shows up to the aid of Astro Boy, and you can immediately tell how he feels about her.
  • What is known in the film as ‘the’ evil robot (unfortunately I couldn’t catch its name) is released to wreak havoc and hunt down/destroy Astro Boy
  • Astro Boy’s little robotic dog appears, showing up for a funny tibit between him and a group of his friends
  • Astro Boy fights against this robot sent to destroy him, also trying to help get rid of this strange octopus creature that appears for a second or two on the trailer.
  • Astro Boy shows us what the magical fruit can really do to a robot boy (I won’t spoil this piece, too funny)

That’s about it, without completely spoiling too much of it. Checking it out myself, the film looks cute and action packed, a better family film to look out for come October 23rd of this year. Keep on this site for more news, including coverage of the panel for Astro Boy and interviews with the stars of the film.
