All that merchandise like the shirts with 'I love twilight' and 'i love edward cullen' are complete crap. I've even seen figurienes... wth! i used to think it was ok but it has been killed. Oh and by the way my 10 year old sister has read them and so have almost all her friends... and my mum has read them too... so umm you might want to extend your age barriers... from like 10-50... ok im 17 and my friends absolutely love twilight i can say that i didnt think it was that bad, but it was deffinately worth all the attention it’s getting. How old are you? It's pure crap! I even read the book so I wouldn't be misinformed or mislead by the usually less than movie a story is based on. Monosyllabic drivel. Read some Faulkner would you? Okay that was over the top, maybe Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Still a classic and yep, know PhD's who watch it. Guilty pleasures. And yet, I fell for the hype like everyone else and handed over nine bucks to see it. I really did try to suspend my disbelief. Really. My husband had to be resucitated after I dragged his butt along with me. I haven't insisted on a "girlie movie" since. My bad all the way around. This "love story" as you call it, is based on the 12 year old mind. (And not in a good way). There is nothing substantial, new, exciting, or even relevant about any of it. Why the societal collective mind is so obsessed with vampires, meteors, and witchcraft is truly inconceivable. But hey, have fun when they come up with another original about a vampire witch who lands in our plane of existence on.....oooh you're good. A meteor! It's aimed toward teenage girls (arnt most stories aimed at women?) i watched the movie first and thought it was pretty good (although i do hate kristen stewart shes a horrible actress hated her in catch that kid and so on) then i read the books and got hooked.
