I'm sorry for not putting your favorite on my list but if I would have done that, it would have taken the term 'my' out of that equation. The shows I picked were chosen out of numerous amounts of shows. I watch a lot of television(Not because I have no life, but the fact that I'm usually always sick). The Shield has never applied to me and I rarely watch it. I do think the acting is pretty decent but to me, I think Chuck easily blows it out of the water. And to answer your 'bland' statement, the shows I listed are far from it. I tried to range my shows and a lot of my shows range from action/comedies. I'm sorry if it doesn't apply to you but its my list and not yours.

If you read some of the above comments you would know who this list came from. He is a new writer who is only 16 years old. If he is watching the wire, I would kick his parent's arse. As for the shield, I am 32 and never seen an episode. While I am sure its good, it doesn't look all that interesting to me.

I watch maybe one show a week of TV. That is why Nathan stepped up to the plate and help out with this list.

Thanks for swinging by.

Have you never heard of a little show called "The Shield"? "Family Meeting" was the best episode of television this year, maybe of all time. I don't understand why the series isn't on the list? And of course there's that little show called "The Wire"? I find your list highly suspect. Bones? Life? Chuck?!?!? I'm absolutely speechless and question such pedestrian taste. Enjoy your mickey d's & starbuck's, along with whatever bland flavor satisfies your palette.

i think its a good thing chuck is high in this list, best newcomer , seriously the best show iv seen in a while, its fun, it has action, and it has an amazing storyline that surprises me every episode! and offcourse no medioker acting whatshowever they are all pro's except for chuck's sister, she annoy's me sometimes but i dont know what it is that makes her so surreal to me, maybe its the constant worrying...

i dont watch bones, but i did hear some promising storys about it, so i cant really judge.

Psych whatshowever, i do watch, and i love it..its a great show though i may have not put it as high as number 3..

I find that shows as 30 rock wich has some seriously crappy acting and a lame sense of humor wich i just cant take anymore, should not even be in this top ten, aside with battle star gallactica (i can see why some people may like it, but the genre offers more better shows than this one) and that cartoon you put in (wich i actually watched a part of a maraton when i was sick, and it was sooooooo freakin lame not even gonna go in details their) . they cant, just cannot be in a top ten!

Leverage and burn notice sounds cool, its not yet on tv here in europe, yet burn notice should air its first episodes this week, certainly gonna look at some leverage episodes, cuz it seems a fun comedy, i cant judge it though..

I dont know about life.. it doesnt sound like my kinda show, but again, havent watched so cant judge..
Lost though is seriously one of the coolest shows ever aired, first season was in one word fantastic, than i headed of into season 2 hoping clarity would arise becuz my knowledge of the island or its inhabitants was so to say void of sense, though somehow someway only more questions rised from the show, and they where not giving any answers, halfway through season 3 i figured that they where gonna milk this show so far that the only thing left over of the story line would be an empty old cowtitty, and indeed it did, so it turned out as the crappiest show i ever wasted this much time of my life to, seriously dont start it!

i must say there are a lot of shows missing in this top ten;
-Friends (Funny as hell, best sitcom ever)
-The X-Files( Greatest damn story ever written)
- The Big Bang Theory( so funny and such intelligent sense of humor, though i must say i know a cple of people blessed with lesser intelligence than a bathroomtile that dont like the show, cuz they just dont get the jokes. so for this show, some intelligence and knowledge abouth quantum physics, physics, math, and the history of sciense in general is needed.)
- Two guys a girl and a pizzaplace( fun show, kinda friends-ish)
- Two and a half man (Fun to watch no complete concentration needed, little overal storyline, therefore the ideal show to watch when your hanging at home drinkin some beers with you mates.)

with a;; above taken into account, i must say my top eight (cuz i can only come up with eight shows worth mentioning) would look like this;

# 1 = Friends
# 2 = The X-Files
# 3 = Chuck
# 4 =The Big Bang Theory
# 5 = Psych
# 6 = Two Guys a Girl and a Pizzaplace (named "Two Guys & a Girl" after season 2)
# 7 = Two and a Half Man
# 8 = Scrubs

seriously if you like chuck and psych, and you have a decent amount of active braincells, youll love The Big Bang Theory aswell.

And if you like Chuck and want more deep conspiracy's watch the xfiles the complete storyline together is just slap-me-in-the-face-amazing, seriously best show in its genre and more! watch it, love it! not for everyone though, if you dont like the first 2 seasons, don go further, the plot will thicken the sweat will crawl up your ass and your heart will start pounding harder and harder, untill all nine seasons ad up to one final explosive episode that will make you pee your pants and jump out the window of pure anxiety (if im wrighting that the correct way).

if you liked friends, you should check out two guys a girl and a pizzaplace, you will love ithat show to, two and a half man is a great show either but i dont think everyone will find that funny, its kindalike scrubs, not everyone likes it, but those who like it, love it

Fiends is just hilarious, everyone will find that true, ive not met any single person that didnt laugh out loud with this show.. seriously if you do not find this show funny, there is something physically wrong with you, go see a docter!

well damn, that was one hell of a list, now thats done, im gonna watch some more Chuck! enjoy the shows in my list guys(and offcourse girls)!!!

I %100 agree that Chuck is at #1. I've never seen better chemistry between a cast or a better romance with the use of Chuck, the lovable nerd, and Sarah, the hard agent who's walls can only be broken down by the leader of a Buy More Nerd Herd. Every single role is cast perfectly: Zach Levi as Chuck, Yvonne Strahovski as Sarah (best acting I've seen on tv), Adam Baldwin as John Casey, and all the way down to Ryan McPartlin as Devon aka "Captain Awesome."

I would have to say that I disagree with Jeff's assessment. It is refreshing to see shows on a Top 10 list that are well rounded albeit not necessarily media darlings like other critics tend to post. I tire of the faceless critic automotons telling me that one of the various CSI's or Law & Order's, or just about anything on CBS is what I should be watching (whether you like it or not The Mentalist is a Psych rip off pure and simple!). The only one I on your list that I don't really agree with it the Avatar. Don't get me wrong, I like the cartoon, it has great artistry and writing to it, but I personally wouldn't have it in my Top 20.

Overall, great list Nate. I would have loved to see some runner ups to this list.
