Transformers (2007) Movie Review
Let’s start off by saying; the wrong director could have tanked it. By no means am I a fan of Michael Bay, but I do think he did a great job at what he was tasked to do.
Transformers could have been a total mess if it wasn’t for a number of things; Thankfully, DreamWorks and

While everyone will undoubtedly be in awe at the special effects, “Transformers” ultimately succeeds because of its well-plotted story. The battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons rests on a clue that Sam unknowingly possesses. His attempts to win over his high-school crush, Mikaela, take an unexpected detour when he and Mikaela find themselves in the midst of an epic battle. The battle that has been raging for years on other planets, has found its way to us on Earth.
The writing and directing make us believe what is going on in this movie. Without the script as it was, the movie could of flopped big time.
While the action scenes are larger-than-life, they supplement the story rather than dominate it. Bay’s ability to intertwine explosive action scenes in a way that coherently meshes with the progression of the story enhances his credibility as a director. He also manages to get the most out of his actors. The connections in this movie are seemingly real and very believable.

The awe inspiring movie known as Transformers is just that. In almost every way, Transformers will show you what your notion should be of a great summer action movie.
